Lok Be Hype 2
Lok Be Hype 2
The Lok Be Hype 2 is a padel racket developed for intermediate to advanced players who base their game on control, comfort and consistency. This model is clearly not a power racket and is not built to finish points with raw power. The Be Hype 2 is geared towards point construction, composure and margin for error.
Within the Lok range, the Be Hype 2 sits clearly on the control side. Compared to the Jungle and Carbon Hype models, this racket is noticeably calmer, more forgiving and less demanding.
What type of player is this racket suited for
The Lok Be Hype 2 is mainly suited to right side players at an intermediate to advanced level who want to build up and control the game. Players who play a lot of rallies and work with placement, lobs and controlled volleys will get the most out of this racket.
For left side players who base their game on smashes and finishing, this racket is less suitable. The Be Hype 2 does not support explosive power and isn't built for a finishing role.
Key Features
The round to lightly hybrid shape gives a low, centrally positioned sweet spot. This increases control and forgiveness, especially on less than clean contact. The balance is low to medium, which makes the racket manoeuvrable and gives composure in defensive situations.
The face is built from fibreglass combined with carbon and has a soft to medium blade feel. The blade is clearly not hard. Thanks to the lower carbon concentration and more flex, the racket offers plenty of ball feel and comfort, but delivers little direct power on hard shots.
The core consists of soft EVA rubber, which reinforces the comfortable character and effectively dampens vibration. This makes the racket suited to longer playing sessions and players who are sensitive to arm or shoulder strain.
Playing Feel and Performance
On court, the Lok Be Hype 2 feels composed, controlled and forgiving. In rallies you play with plenty of certainty and control, while attacking shots mainly depend on technique and timing. The racket helps with consistent play, but not with forcing points.
The Lok Be Hype 2 is therefore a clear choice for right side players and players who value control, comfort and point construction more than power, within the Lok range.
